Both camps provide a variety of exciting and enriching experiences for all boys and girls, where your child will be supported in learning life-long , animal care along with team building and leadership skills .With our welcoming community at Stowe Farm, children will gain the confidence and independence to take care of their animals properly. Each day will consist of horse grooming, learn to ride ,or if you know how to ride we hit the trails! Their are hatching chicks, bunnies, goats, pigs, numerous poultry to raise and train along with daily team games . When you child leaves at the end of the week , they will be confident in handling animals and will have new friends too.

Equestrian Camp
Ages 7 & up [4 weeks available this year]
Stowe Farm offers an inclusive horse-riding experience. Our trained and licensed staff always provides an exciting , comfortable learning environment for your children.
Horseback riding is an experience that instills a powerful connection between humans and one of nature's most majestic animals.
Equestrian camp is created for either the novice rider or the more advanced equestrian. First-time horse riders will learn how to properly handle a horse as they prepare to ride, gaining confidence in themselves and building a trusting relationship with horses. The more experienced rider can adventure out on our woodland trails, as well as participate in the jump courses. Campers will learn about horses and how to take care of them. This includes feeding, cleaning, and bathing, along with brushing before and after riding.
Mornings consist of ground handling, grooming, saddling, positive direction control, and, of course, riding. Afternoons will include team building games and challenging activities like our rock climbing wall or mechanical bull riding. To round out the day we find that most kids love a little quiet time spent playing with the ponies or soft furry bunnies.

Kids & K-9
Handlers Ages 11 & Up [currently close 2024]
Stowe Farm's Kids & K-9 camp is directed by our Certified Canine Training Specialist! We believe that children should be motivated to train, yet also be willing to learn from the animals. For that reason, this program is not just about training : it's a wonderful way for your child to bond with their canine friend. While learning how to train and properly take care of their friend, they will also gain knowledge and understanding of what it means to be a responsible pet handler. When kids take their 4-legged friend to camp, they can expect a day of laughing, learning, and bonding.
Children and Pets will learn:
- Agility exercises to perform in our agility course, that provide great exercise for both of them.
- Obedience training, which includes greeting others, good manners, basic commands, and “place.”
- Proper grooming, bathing, brushing.
- First aid and awareness of dangerous foods.
- Different Breeds and how they interact with dogs of all types, lifestyles, and temperaments.
Kids & k-p camp is CLOSED 2024
There is limited space available.
K-9 camp allows no more than 12 pairs each week.
The pairs will be divided into three groups so ample training with each of our 3 trainers will be encouraged.
PLEASE NOTE: If your child is a dog lover, but you don’t have a pet yet, we can assign a dog to them.
*All participating dogs must be up to date with all vaccinations, including Rabies and Kennel Cough. Dogs must be on a six foot leash only, so all retractable leashes are not permitted. All pet owners must have emergency forms and recent health forms from their physicians.
