Professional Dog Training

Certified dog trainers graduated from Starmark Academy, the largest most comprehensive training center in the world. Our trainers have worked with numerous dogs and are now proficient in teaching your pet no matter their training level.

Offered Training Services

  • Behavioral Training: Canine behavior and behavioral modification

  • Beginner and Intermediate Obedience Training: Building a good relationship with your dog and obedience exercises such as sit, down, heel, walking on a loose leash, recall, stay, place (boundary stay)

  • Home Manners Training: Teaching dogs proper mannerisms for living in homes, i.e. not barking when a person is at the door​

  • Clicker Training and Tricks: Using a clicker for teaching dogs tricks

  • Agility Training: The sport of agility and the use of agility techniques, obstacles and toys

  • Dog to Dog Greeting and Generalization: Socialization with other dogs, people and barn animals to promote better behavior around said bodies​

  • Refresher Training: Keeping your dog and you up-to-date on what's been learned to ensure your pet remembers it

To make for a customizable training experience for each and every pet, we require each client to fill out our Behavior Evaluation Form located HERE. 

Board & Train

Going away? Leave your pet with us in our board and train program. When you get back, your dog will have something to show you!

 

Training while boarding provides your dog with not only an action-packed vacation, but with the consistency they need to make the behavioral change. Whether it be a behavioral adjustment, obedience, generalizing or just a basic refresh, our trainers are ready to tailor a program for your dog's specific needs!

Rates & Packages

Training during a board and train can be fitted to your needs and does not have to be daily. ​

  • $50/hour - 1 hour of training per day 

  • 1 Dog for 1 week training with The Farm Yard Sleepover package - $600 (Includes go home training lesson)​​​

Puppy Training 

$50/ hour class or you can buy all 6 classes for $270

We offer 6-week puppy courses for you and your new puppy to bond together. 

​

Puppy Course 1: Offered for puppies between 10-16 weeks of age that need to learn the basics. Loose leash walking, socialization, sit, place and heel are all included in this course! 

​

Puppy Course 2: Offered for puppies between 4-6 months of age. A basic brush up of commands learned in course 1 is to be expected, and an expansion on dog obedience and tricks will also be added in!

Beginner Training 

$50/ hour class or you can buy all 6 classes for $270

It's never to late to start training your dog!

This 6-week introductory group course is great for adult dogs, too. Dogs with no prior training experience will learn basic manners, socialization skills, obedience commands like sit, and how to walk on a loose leash. 

​

This class will also address issues adult dogs face like excessive barking, jumping and digging.

Intermediate Training

$50/ hour class or you can buy all 6 classes for $270

Prerequisite for this Class: Beginner Training

​

During this 6-week group course, dogs will revisit their previous obedience commands and practice them with distractions to ensure they will listen to you regardless of the environment. They will also learn more advanced commands such as wait, place, roll-over and more. 

​

This course is designed to increase your dog's reliability in listening to you and to introduce higher-level exercises, tricks, and basic agility training.

Private Training

$60/hour class or you can buy 6 classes for $330

Can't make it to one of our group sessions? Or do you have some private goals you want to meet with your dog? 

​

Talk to us about private training! Consultations are $25 and allow for one of our professional trainers to meet with you and your pet to offer a customized experience. We can help you create a program to suit your schedule, as well as target the problem areas that your dog may have. If the initial consultation sounds good for you, the $25 will go towards any classes you sign up for provided you sign up for at least 2 classes.

Pet Facility open Daily from 8-11AM & 2-5PM. (Excludes major holidays)

Kids Corral, Farm & Playground open on Saturdays & Sundays from Sept. 6th - November 2nd. 

​

Country Store will be open Saturdays & Sundays From Sept. 6th - Thanksgiving.

​

Horseback riding lessons are year-round and are scheduled by appointment only. 

FAQ

​

What should we bring with us? - Hats, sunscreen, comfortable shoes, and a camera of course!  

Can we bring strollers or wagons? Unfortunately, we cannot allow strollers, diaper bags or backpacks in the orchard. You can take these items into our Kid's Corral across the street!

Can we take in outside food or coolers? No, we do not allow outside food or coolers anywhere on property. Our Buck'n BBQ and Bad Apple Saloon sell food and drinks. 

Is there food to eat at the farm? - Yes! Our Buck'n BBQ is known for it's pulled pork, brisket, hamburgers and kid's menu!

What type of payment is accepted? - Cash or card.

Do I bring my own apple bag? No, all bags for the orchard must be purchased upon arrival.

Can I bring my dog? - Per order of the Board of Health, only service dogs who perform a task are allowed. This does not include emotional support pets.

Is there poison ivy? Yes, but we do our best to manage it.

Do you have bathrooms and sinks? Yes, we have portable facilities at the orchard and Kid's Corral. 

Do you charge for parking? - No, parking is free. Buses can also be accommodated!
