ABOUT US
Stowe Farm has grown into more then any of the previous Stowe's could have imagined. Going off of the vision of George Brigham Stowe, the farm has shifted almost entirely to full Agritourism. The orchards are still open and crops are still grown, however the farm does so much more.
The Farm now does many different activities in the hope of drawing in not only local visitors, but those who are willing to make a special trip. Stowe Farm now offers entertainment for all ages. We offer a petting zoo, pony rides, bounce house, Old West train rides, and more.
Not only does the farm attract our younger visitors, but now we have the option to keep their parents and guardians busy too! The Bad Apple Saloon is a great space for adults to grab a cold drink and listen to our live music! New events like Hard Cider Tastings are always a hit!
Stowe Farm has also expanded into a dog boarding, training and breeding facility. With top notch trainers and breeders on their staff, and affordable boarding packages, Stowe Farm has become a local go to place for everyone's dog related needs.

Stowe Farm
Decades ago, Stowe Farm was a dairy farm, milking 63 head of cattle daily. Over the years, it has transformed into an equestrian farm with 40 horses and dense fields ripe with produce for all sorts of agritourism delight in the Fall. We take extreme pride in our family name and are happy to say that we are officially on our 8th generation of Stowe!
Ithamer Stow 1802-1887
Ithamer Stow was the original purchaser of what is now Stowe Farm today. He added the "E" to the family last name and began the farm's legacy.

George Ithamer Stowe 1853-1919
George Ithamer Stowe became a master farmer with the tutelage of his father, Ithamer. Ithamer sold him the farm in 1874, which allowed for George to become more and more prevalent in the Millbury community. When he passed away in 1919, Stowe Farm was left to George's second son, Oscar Henry Stowe.
Oscar Henry Stowe 1881-1960
Oscar Henry Stowe was considered in the community to be a cold and stern man, but those close to him knew that he was both kind and caring. He ran the farm until he passed away in 1960, when he left the farm to his oldest son George Brigham Stowe.

George Brigham Stowe 1916-2009
George Brigham Stowe grew up on the farm with a deep love and respect for the land. He recognized the modernizing world, and realized he needed to change the focus of the farm from a dairy farm, to a more agricultural one. Apple growing became the main focus of Stowe Farm under his direction, which led to his eventual move to wholesale distribution and mass food production. He opened the "pick your own" program, allowing local people to browse the orchard and pick their own apples. At one point, George Brigham Stowe, his mother Alice, his daughter Amy, Amy's husband Dean Peterson, and their 3 children (Deanna, Leah and Maura) all were living in the Stowe Family home at the same time. Four Generations! On September 19, 2009, George passed away leaving the farm to Amy Elizabeth Stowe, making her the first female owner in its history.
2009 - Present
Flashing forward to now, the farm has been transformed into an agritourism farm, focusing on not only apple picking, but fun for all ages. Under Amy's ownership, her daughter Maura Stowe has altered it to be family oriented, allowing families from all over to create great memories and traditions that will last a lifetime!
